Welcome back to Country Music 4 Ever! I think if you would ask people what the best decade of country music is most people would probably say the 90s. Today I will be talking about what made the 90s such a special decade for country music.

Country music pretty much had the same honky tonk sound up until the 90s (with a few exceptions.) So by the time the 90s came around country singers started to put their own spin on country music, and most of it sounded good. Country music had a little bit of everything in the 90s, which I think is why people loved it so much. There was everything from line dancing songs to honky tonk songs to pop country and even a little yodeling (thanks to LeAnn Rimes and her song “Blue” which people still love to this day.)

I did a blog a while ago about women not being played much on country radio, but for some reason in the 90s that was not a problem. There were so many women who got played on the radio like Shania Twain, Martina McBride, Trisha Yearwood and many other great female singers.

Basically, the 90s was the best decade of country music because there was something for everyone. Whether you still loved traditional country or you liked more of a pop sound, 90s country had something you would love.

Thanks for reading I’ll be back soon!
