Welcome back to Country music 4 ever! I don’t think anyone would disagree with me when I say the Grand Ole Opry is the most special place in country music. Today I am going to explain why it is so special.

The main reason is the Opry is one of the few places that is keeping country music alive. It seems like anymore, when it comes to country music (and I know there are a few exceptions) nobody wants to be country anymore. There are people like Nelly (who became popular as a hip hop artist) who now claims to be a country singer and people just go along with it. I heard the other day that Post Malone (a pop artist) is ready to record a country album, but I can guarantee he will never play at the Grand Ole Opry.

Basically, the Opry is special because they still care about true country music unlike the media. I recently got the chance to take a backstage tour of the Opry and I will never forget the feeling of stepping into the wooden circle on the stage. As I was standing in the circle, I kept thinking of all the famous people who have stood there in the past: people like Loretta Lynn, Garth Brooks, and Brad Paisley just to name a few who have all stood on that same piece of wood and sang so many hit songs. Like I said, I will never forget the feeling I had.

Another thing that is special about the Opry – and country music in general – is that it is one big family. After you go see a show at the Opry, even though you weren’t the one singing, you feel like a member of the family. If you haven’t gone to the Grand Ole Opry yet I would definitely recommend for you to go because you won’t regret it. And if you have already gone, I would recommend for you to go again because no two shows at the Opry are the same. Let me know in the comments who you saw at the Grand Ole Opry and I’ll be back soon with a new blog. Goodbye for now!
