Welcome back to Country Music 4 Ever! The Neo-Traditional movement in country music emerged in the late 1980s, when country music started to sound more pop than country, so other artists began recording traditional sounding country music. Artists like Randy Travis, Alan Jackson, and Reba McEntire played a big part in the Neo-Traditional movement. The reason I'm talking about this today is because I feel like the same thing is happening right now.

Scotty McCreery just released his new song, “Cab In a Solo,” and it sounds like a classic from the 80s or 90s. That song really got me thinking about how country the music on the radio is right now. With artists like Lainey Wilson, Cody Johnson, and Jon Pardi, country music is in a great place right now. I honestly think it is the best it has been in years.

Thanks for reading. I'll be back soon!
