Welcome back to Country Music 4 Ever! Today I am going to talk about Cody Johnson. Cody is bringing traditional country music back to country radio. For those of you who don’t know much about him I’ll take a minute to fill you in.

When Cody was 15 years old he rode a bull for the first time and he fell in love with bull riding. So he became a professional bull rider for a couple years. When he was 18 he decided it was time to move on from bull riding, so he became a prison guard. In 2006 he started his music career. He had huge success as an independent artist in Texas. He actually had some success on the Texas country music charts.

Cody had major mainstream success with his song “‘Til You Can’t,” which is a very inspirational song. The song talks about following your dreams and doing things while you still can, because there will come a time when you won’t be able to do things anymore.

I think between his years of bull riding and being a prison guard, Cody would have many stories to tell in his music. When it comes to country music, Cody Johnson is the real deal. There aren’t too many people you can say that about anymore, so that’s why Cody is special.

Thanks for reading, I’ll be back soon!
