Welcome back to Country Music 4 Ever! Ashley Cooke released her debut album “Shot In The Dark” today. Most of you probably know her from her song “Never Till Now” which she released a duet of with Brett Young. This is a very good album that has 24 songs on it, which is impressive for a debut album. Today I will be talking about some of my favorite songs on the album.

The first song I want to talk about is “Mean Girl” with Colbie Caillat. The chorus of this song says “This ain't me bein' mean, girl, I just hate to see a good heart hangin' on a string, girl, it sure looks a lot like love, but what you don't see, girl, is all those cards slid so far up his sleeve, girl, when he says you're the only one, take it from me, yeah, it's just another thing that he doesn't mean girl.” I think their voices sound good together, and the song was written very well.

The next song I want to talk about is “Running Back.” This song is about her breaking up with someone and every time she tries to move on with someone new, she runs away when things get serious because she would come running back to her ex if he wanted her back.

The last song I want to talk about is “Good Thing Going.” This song is about being in a good relationship and not wanting it to end. The end of the chorus says, "I've never been more afraid of love 'cause we got a good thing going on, I'd hate to see a good thing going wrong.”

Thanks for reading. I'll be back soon!
