Today is a special day for Country Music 4 Ever! This is my twentieth blog post. It’s crazy to think that I just started this about a month ago and I’m on my twentieth post already. I want to thank everyone who has visited the website, liked and followed the Facebook page, and joined the Reddit community. Since this is a special day for me, I wanted to talk about something special that happened to someone in the country music community. This person just earned his forty fifth number one song, and that person is the one and only Tim McGraw, with his song “7500 OBO.” Tim released his first single to the radio 31 years ago, and earned his first number one song 3 years later.

It is very rare that anyone has this many number one songs, because once most singers start getting older the radio loses interest in them and stops playing them. I am a big fan of Tim, but I don’t understand what makes him different from other singers his age who stopped getting airplay. I’m not saying he’s old, but you don’t have to be old for the radio to think you are. You’re probably thinking there are people like Keith Urban and Brad Paisley who are around Tim’s age and they still get airplay. I realize that, but it seems like recently it has been a little more difficult for them to get airplay unlike Tim.

George Strait has 60 number one songs, so maybe Tim will beat his record. I highly doubt it because George is the king and nobody should be better than the king, but Tim only has 15 number ones to go

I want to go over a few things that I will be doing in the future on this blog. Next month Dylan Scott has a new album coming out, so I will be doing a review of that. Also in September Kelsea Ballerini and Maddie and Tae both have an album coming out on the same day, so I will do a review of both of them. Let me know if you have any ideas of blogs you would like me to do in the future. I can do anything country music related. Thanks for reading I’ll be back soon!
