Welcome back to Country Music 4 Ever! I’m sure all of you have heard the story “The Boy Who Cried Wolf.” If you haven’t heard it before, it is a story about a young shepherd boy who thought it would be fun to pretend there was a wolf chasing the sheep. He then called for help, but when people saw there wasn’t a wolf there, they stopped believing him when he called for help. When there was actually a wolf chasing the sheep, nobody came to help because he lied too many times. Why am I telling you this story? Because Meghan Patrick released a new song called “The Boy Who Cried Drunk.”

This song is about dating an alcoholic. She sings about how at first you don’t always realize someone has a drinking problem, but as the song goes on, she sings about how alcohol is always going to cause issues with a relationship.

The chorus of the song says, “Then it’s holes punched in the wall, fifty-six missed calls at four A.M., crying in a bathroom stall cause he’s fighting in the parking lot again, and I wake up swollen red eyes, he’ll come over and apologize and say it’s only cause he drank too much, but you know the truth is that he’s just the boy who cried drunk.”

This song talks about how alcoholics are just like the boy who cried wolf. They say they’re sorry and they’ll change, but you stop believing them because they never do change.

I think this song is very creative and Meghan has some really great vocals in this song.

Thanks for reading. I’ll be back soon!
