Welcome back to Country Music 4 Ever! Today I am going to start a new series called “Country Music 4 Ever Country Legend Highlight.” Each month I will highlight a different legend in country music, but since there are so many, I had to narrow it down somehow. I will only highlight singers who have made their debut in country music at least 40 years ago, and they also have to have at least 20 number one songs. I think this will narrow it down to the true legends.

So, the first “Country Music 4 Ever Country Legend Highlight” artist is Ronnie Milsap. Ronnie made his debut in country music in 1973. Throughout his career, he has earned 36 number one songs.

Ronnie was born in Robbinsville, North Carolina. He began playing music as a child and in 1972, he moved to Nashville to chase his dreams of becoming a country singer. He signed a record deal with RCA in 1973, and began having radio success. Not only that, but he earned 42 top ten hits between 1976 and 1992.

Since Ronnie is a legend, I'm sure you are familiar with his music. Instead of posting links to his music throughout the month, I will post fun facts about him. So stay tuned for that.

Thanks for reading. I'll be back soon!
