Welcome back to Country Music 4 Ever! Today I want to talk about one of the greatest songwriters in country music, Ashley Gorley. Ashley has written more than 400 songs, more than 70 of which reached number one. Some of his number ones include “Sand in My Boots” by Morgan Wallen, “Good Vibes,” by Chris Janson, “Dirt on My Boots” by Jon Pardi, and “You’re Gonna Miss This” by Trace Adkins.

Ashley was raised in rural Kentucky and lived a country life. However, he grew up loving R&B, hip-hop, and pop music. He graduated from Belmont University in 1999 with a degree in music business, hoping to become a songwriter. Ashley never had interest in singing, he just loved writing songs for other people.

Ashley’s first number one came in 2006 with Carrie Underwood’s “Don’t Forget to Remember Me.” He went on to write other number ones for Carrie such as “All American Girl,” “Good Girl,” “Heartbeat,” and “Dirty Laundry.”

Ashley has been called “The King of Number Ones” by many people, and I’m sure he will have even more in the future.

Thanks for reading. I’ll be back soon!
