Welcome back to Country Music 4 Ever! It has been a while since Bill Anderson has made headlines, but he has found his way back into the news because of an accomplishment that will be celebrated later in the month.

Bill is the longest-serving Grand Ole Opry member in the show’s history. He has been a member for 62 years straight. In 1958, he made his Opry debut, and just three years later in 1961, he became a member.

The Opry will be celebrating its ninety-eighth birthday later this year, so it is very impressive for Bill to be a member 62 of those 98 years.

Bill’s accomplishment will be celebrated at the Opry on July 22. There will be performances by Vince Gill, Jamey Johnson, Jeannie Seely, Ricky Skaggs, and more.

Thanks for reading. I’ll be back soon!
