Welcome back to Country Music 4 Ever! 60 years ago, on this exact day became a very significant day in country music history, but at the time no one knew how special it was.

On February 4, 1963, Patsy Cline went into the studio to begin recording songs for a new album. The recording session lasted four days, and at the time, it was just a special day because she was working on new music. No one knew it was going to be her last recording session. Patsy was only 30 years old at the time, so nobody expected her life to almost be over.

On March 5, 1963, which was about a month after this recording session, Patsy was tragically killed in a plane crash near Camden, Tennessee. There are no words for something like that, but in her short career, Patsy was able to record several albums with many great songs that people still listen to today. It is a shame she died so young though.

Thanks for reading. Please let me know what your favorite song by Patsy is, or your favorite moment of her career. I’ll be back soon!
