Hello everyone! Welcome to Country music 4 ever. For my first blog I am going to do a single review. I have chosen five songs that were released to country radio within the past two months, so none of these songs have become a hit yet, but I just want to let you know what songs to keep an eye out for.
The first song I chose is “She Had Me at Heads Carolina” by Cole Swindell. This song is a play on the song “Heads Carolina tails California” by Jo Dee Messina. In Cole’s song he tells a story of going to the bar with his buddies and not realizing till they walk in that it’s karaoke night. During karaoke there is a woman who gets up and sings “Heads Carolina, Tails California” and Cole ends up falling in love with her. This is a very fun song and I would definitely recommend listening to this song.
The next song I chose is “Can’t Nobody” by Mackenzie Carpenter. I’m sure you probably never heard of her before, but that’s because she just signed a record deal within the last month. “Can’t Nobody" is her very first radio single so I don’t know how well it will do but I would still recommend for you to listen to it.
The third song I chose is “Heart Like a Truck" by Lainey Wilson. If you know me you know I have been a fan of Lainey since the first time I heard her sing a couple years ago. Lainey had two straight number one songs “Things a Man Oughta Know" and “Never Say Never" with Cole Swindell. I am pretty confident that “Heart Like a Truck" could be her third number one. Please go check out this song if you haven’t already.
The next song is “What He Didn't Do" by Carly Pearce. Anyone who is a fan of Carly Pearce knows that she went through a divorce with fellow country singer Michael Ray and this song was inspired by that. In this song she is saying all the things he didn’t do such as treat her right and put her first, then at the end of the song she talks about when she meets the right guy he is going to do all the things that the other guy didn’t do.
The last song I am going to talk about is “Like I Love Country Music" by Kane Brown. This is a really fun song to listen to. Throughout the whole song he makes references to people like Alan Jackson, Brooks and Dunn, and Willie Nelson just to name few. Like I just said this is a very fun and creative song and I would recommend for you to listen to it.
Thank you so much for taking time out of your day to read this and please let me know what you think about it. Also let me know if you have any ideas of blogs you would like me to do in the future. I can do anything country music related. I hope to be back soon with a new blog so goodbye until then!
