Welcome back to Country Music 4 Ever! A couple months ago I posted a blog in remembrance of Naomi Judd. Honestly, it was the hardest blog I’ve ever written, because there were no words for such a tragedy. So I thought it would be a good time to focus on The Judds career now that most people have been able to move on from her death.

I want to start by giving you a little background on The Judds’ career. The Judds signed a record deal with RCA Nashville in 1983. Sadly, their career only lasted eight years, because Naomi was diagnosed with hepatitis in 1991. The Judds had a very short career, but they had a ton of success in the eight years they spent together as a duo. They charted more than 20 singles on the “Billboard Hot Country Songs” chart, including 14 number one songs. The Judds won five Grammy awards for “Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal.” They also won nine CMA awards.

The Judds are my all time favorite country music duo, and I think a lot of other people would say the same. I love the overall sound of their music, and I love how their voices blend so well together. But the main thing I love about The Judds is their song lyrics. The Judds sing some of the best songs in country music. No matter which one you listen to it makes you feel something, and I don’t know of too many other people who make you feel something with each song they sing.

I think it is awesome that The Judds’ music is still loved to this day. Even though their career as a duo only lasted eight years, their music will live on forever.

Thanks for reading, I’ll be back soon!
