Welcome back to Country Music 4 Ever! Today I am going to talk about Meghan Patrick. I’m sure most of you don’t know who she is, but you have to go check out her music. Meghan is engaged to Mitchell Tenpenny who I’m sure most of you are familiar with. But Meghan is so much more than just Mitchell Tenpenny’s fiancé. She is a very talented singer, a great songwriter, she plays both acoustic and electric guitar, and she plays the banjo.

Meghan is from Bowmanville Ontario. She is signed to Warner Music Canada, and she recently signed a publishing deal in Nashville. Today I want to talk about some of my favorite songs of hers.

The first song I want to talk about is the song that made me become a fan of her. The song is called “My First Car.” This song is about many first times in her life. She sings about her first drink, her first scar, her first love, and obviously her first car, which was a pickup truck by the way. There are many other first times she sings about in this song, so please go check it out.

The next song I want to talk about is “My Left Hand.” In the beginning of this song she sings about how her left hand is used to holding a beer and playing guitar. Then in the chorus she sings about the best thing about her left hand is the ring from the right man. This song was written very well, and she sounds great singing it. Please go check it out.

The next song I want to talk about is “Country Music Made Me Do It.” In my opinion, this is one of her best songs. It talks about how country music has always been there for her and it helped her get through different things in her life. This song is the title track from her 2018 album, and as I am sitting here writing this I am listening to that album. It is very good, so go listen to it if you get the chance.

The last song I want to talk about is off of her “Country Music Made Me Do It” album. The song is called “George Strait.” The first verse of this song is “I want a guy who’s willing to drive to Amarillo by morning to see the sunrise in my eyes. The kind of man that gets carried away by the look, by the smile he puts on my face every day. If you want to be the one I give my heart to, then ask yourself what would George Strait do?” I love when people reference other songs in their songs. I think this is a very creative song. Please go check it out.

Thanks for reading, I’ll be back soon!
