Welcome back to Country Music 4 Ever! George Strait, Brooks and Dunn, Alan Jackson, and many other country legends released greatest hits albums. Fans loved when their favorite artists released a greatest hits album because all of their favorite radio singles were all together on one album. It was a very common thing for an artist to release multiple albums, then take all the hits from those albums and create a greatest hits album.

Recently though, greatest hits albums have become a thing of the past. Artists like Luke Bryan and Carrie Underwood have had many hits, but have not released a greatest hits album. The reason for this is actually simple. Since streaming has become one of the most popular ways to listen to music, fans just aren't interested in buying CDs or albums anymore. So, instead of buying an album with an artist's greatest hits, you can now go on streaming services such as Spotify and find playlists with an artist's greatest hits and some of their other songs.

For example, I searched for Luke Bryan on Spotify, and I found a playlist titled “This Is Luke Bryan.” It has over three hours of his music, which is way more than a greatest hits album would have.

I like many greatest hits albums, but I would rather have a playlist with a couple of hours of music than an album with maybe 10 to 15 songs.

I'd love to hear what your thoughts are. Please leave them in the comments. Thanks for reading. I'll be back soon!
