Welcome back to Country Music 4 Ever! Yesterday I posted a blog with my predictions for the CMA Awards. So today is part two of yesterday’s blog, because I wasn’t able to get through all of the categories. So let’s get started.

 

Let’s start with Vocal Group of the Year. The nominees are Lady A, Little Big Town, Midland, Old Dominion, and Zac Brown Band. I am going to predict Old Dominion is going to win, just because it seems like they win every year.

 

The next category is Vocal Duo of the Year. The nominees are Brooks and Dunn, Brothers Osborne, Dan and Shay, LoCash, and Maddie and Tae. Honestly, none of these duos have been very successful this year, so I am going to say Brothers Osborne will win, because it seems like the CMA Awards favor them for some reason.

 

The next category is New Artist of the Year. The nominees are Hardy, Walker Hayes, Cody Johnson, Parker McCollum, and Lainey Wilson. I am going to predict Lainey will win, because recently she has been on top of her game, and she has had a lot of radio success.

 

The next category is Album of the Year. The nominees are Luke Combs “Growin’ Up,” Maren Morris “Humble Quest,” Miranda Lambert “Palomino,” Lainey Wilson “Sayin’ What I’m Thinkin’,” and Old Dominion “Time, Tequila, and Therapy.” I am going to predict Luke Combs will win this, because he wins something at every award show, and I’ve heard good things about this album.

 

The nominees for Song of the Year are “Buy Dirt” by Jordan Davis and Luke Bryan, “Sand in My Boots” by Morgan Wallen, “Never Wanted to Be That Girl” by Carly Pearce and Ashley McBryde, “You Should Probably Leave” by Chris Stapleton, and “Things a Man Oughta Know” by Lainey Wilson. I think it will be close but I think the winner will be Morgan Wallen.

 

The nominees for Single of the Year are “Buy Dirt” by Jordan Davis and Luke Bryan, “Half of My Hometown” by Kelsea Ballerini and Kenny Chesney, “Never Wanted to Be That Girl” by Carly Pearce and Ashley McBryde, “Til You Can’t” by Cody Johnson, and “You Should Probably Leave” by Chris Stapleton. I think the winner will be Carly and Ashley.

 

The nominees for Musical Event of the Year are “Beers on Me” by Dierks Bentley, Hardy, and Breland, “If I Didn’t Love You” by Jason Aldean and Carrie Underwood, “Longneck Way to Go” by Midland and Jon Pardi, “Never Wanted to Be That Girl” by Carly Pearce and Ashley McBryde, and “Never Say Never” by Cole Swindell and Lainey Wilson. I think Jason and Carrie are going to win this.

 

Lastly, the nominees for Music Video of the Year are “I Bet You Think About Me” by Taylor Swift and Chris Stapleton, “Longneck Way to Go” by Midland and Jon Pardi, “Never Say Never” by Cole Swindell and Lainey Wilson, “Never Wanted to Be That Girl” by Carly Pearce and Ashley McBryde, and “Til You Can’t” by Cody Johnson. I think the winner will be Cole and Lainey.
