Welcome back to Country Music 4 Ever! A while ago I saw a video that talked about if country singers are actually from small towns since they sing about small towns. I thought this video was fascinating so today I’m going to put my spin on this.

There are so many country songs about living in a small town, but did the people singing these songs actually live a small-town life? I researched the hometowns of every artist on the Mediabase country chart. So today I will determine which country singer is from the smallest town.

At number five is Dillon Carmichael. Most of you are probably not familiar with him, but by the end of the year you will most likely be familiar with him. Dillon is from Burgin, Kentucky. Burgin has a population of 982 people. That seems like a very small town, but compared to the others on this list it is pretty big.

At number four is Randy Houser. Randy is from Lake, Mississippi. Lake has a population of 520 people. The rest of the towns on this list are even smaller, which is hard to imagine, but it’s true.

At number three is Parmalee. Parmalee is from Parmele, North Carolina. All four members are from Parmele. The band is made up of two brothers, their cousin, and their best friend. Parmele has a population of 231 people.

At number two on the list is Shay Mooney from Dan and Shay. Shay is from Natural Dam, Arkansas. Natural Dam has a population of 200 people. That is a very small town, but there is still one on this list that is smaller.

At number one on the list is Lainey Wilson. Lainey is from Baskin, Louisiana. Baskin has a population of only 198 people. It’s not very surprising that Lainey is from such a small town. You can hear it in her voice.

Thanks for reading. I’ll be back soon!
