Welcome back to Country Music 4 Ever! Today I am going to talk about the Martina McBride song “Anyway.” This song is about how even though things might not work out the way you hoped, it doesn't mean you shouldn't have done it. You shouldn't keep yourself from doing things because you're afraid of failure.

The chorus of the song says, “God is great, but sometimes life ain't good. When I pray, it doesn't always turn out like I think it should, but I do it anyway.” I love this chorus because I know God has a plan for all of us, and just because He doesn't answer our prayers the way we want Him to, we should still pray. Sometimes His plan is different from our plan. It reminds me of the line in the Thomas Rhett song “Life Changes” when he says, “You make your plans, and you hear God laughing.”

“Anyway” made it to number five on the charts. I think it should've been number one, but number five isn't bad.
