Welcome back to Country Music 4 Ever! The “CMA Awards” were last night, so today I am going to be recapping some of the best moments from last night. Today’s post is going to focus on Lainey Wilson’s awesome performances and award wins, and tomorrow I will post the rest of the best moments.Lainey had such an awesome night last night, which is why I am writing a whole post just about her.
Lainey and Hardy performed their song “Wait in The Truck.” The props were really cool in this performance. It started with Hardy standing in front of an old run down building that sort of looked like a trailer and Lainey was sitting in a truck in the beginning of the performance. You could really feel the intensity of the song during this performance. I think it was one of the best performances of the night.
After her “Wait in The Truck” performance, Lainey won the award for “New Artist of The Year.” Something that really stuck out to me during her acceptance speech was that she thanked Jesus for this award. Not many people thank him anymore. I just really respected her for doing that, because without him, non of us would be where we are today.
Lainey also won “Female Vocalist of The Year,” which in my opinion, she deserves this award more than anyone else in the category. She has a voice that no one else has on the radio. Her voice and her appearance is pure country, there’s no denying that.
Lainey also was a part of the tribute to Alan Jackson. She joined Carrie Underwood, Dierks Bentley, and Jon Pardi as they sang some of Alan’s biggest hits. Alan later came out on stage to sing a song also.
I had to just focus on Lainey today because she was on top of her game last night. I promise I will have another post tomorrow with the rest of the best moments from last night. Thanks for reading, I’ll be back tomorrow!
