Welcome back to Country Music 4 Ever! Today I am going to do something different. I have chosen one album cut off of each Thomas Rhett album. These are songs that I feel deserve more recognition than the other songs on the albums. I’m not saying the other songs are bad because I believe Thomas Rhett has never and will never record a bad song. These are songs I would recommend for you to listen to.

The song I chose off of his 2013 debut album “It Goes Like This” is “All American Middle Class White Boy.” This song is sort of like his biography in a way. I think it was a good song for his first album, because it is an introduction to who he is. When you listen to this song you are listening to the story of his life.

The song I chose off of his 2015 album “Tangled Up” is “The Day You Stop Lookin’ Back.” This song tells a story of a girl who can’t move on from a past relationship. In the chorus of the song he sings “The day you stop lookin’ back girl, is the day you start moving on.” I’m sure everyone can relate to this song, because everyone has gone through something in their lives that was hard to move on from.

The song I chose off of the deluxe version of his 2017 album “Life Changes” is “When we’re 80.” In this song he is asking if things will be the same with his wife when they’re old and gray. He asks things like “Will we still walk the dogs? Will I still take you fishing? And dance in the kitchen? And listen and sway to Sinatra?” This is a really neat song to listen to.

The song I chose off of his 2019 album “Center Point Road” is “Dream You Never Had.” In this song he is thanking his wife for living the country music dream she never had. In the chorus of this song he sings “I know its been hard, I know it ain’t easy, oh but I couldn’t do one show without you baby believe me.” I think this is one of his best songs, because you don’t really think of the sacrifices celebrity’s spouses make for them to live their dreams.

The song I chose off of his 2021 album “Country Again: Side A” is “Ya Heard.” There is nothing I love more than a faith based country song. In this song he talks about  how there were times he thought his prayers were never heard. But he doesn’t know why, because God has blessed him with a wife, kids, and fans who support him. If you like the harmonica then you should listen to this song.

The song I chose off of his album “Where We Started,” which came out this year, is “Angels.” In this song he talks about how he doesn’t feel worthy of his wife’s love, and he doesn’t know why she has stuck with him so long. This is a very beautiful love song that I would recommend listening to. His voice sounds really good in this song.

Thanks for reading. I know this is a lot longer than the other blogs, but let me know what you think. I’ll be back soon!
