Welcome back to Country Music 4 Ever! The “Country Music 4 Ever Artist Spotlight” artist of the month is Grace Leer.

Grace is from Danville, California. When she was nine years old, she performed “Wide Open Spaces” by The Chicks for a talent show. As she was practicing this song, her mom sat her down with a piece of paper which had the song's lyrics on it. Her mom read the lyrics word by word so that Grace understood the story she was telling. That moment left a permanent impression on Grace. It made her realize that music was much more than just singing, it’s about telling stories that people can relate to.

Grace recently released her debut self-titled EP, which was inspired by the female artists she grew up listening to such as Martina McBride, Faith Hill, and Jo Dee Messina. Grace auditioned for American Idol during season 18, but she didn’t make it as far in the competition as she should’ve, but it made her name become known.

Throughout the month, I will post links to some of Grace’s music on Facebook and Reddit, so stay tuned for that.

Thanks for reading. I’ll be back soon!
