Welcome back to Country Music 4 Ever! The Band Perry has made their return to country music. Will this be a permanent thing? Nobody knows for sure, considering the group’s history, which I will be talking about today.The Band Perry consisted of siblings Kimberly, Reid, and Neil Perry. They released their debut single, “Hip To My Heart,” in 2009. The following year they earned their first number one with “If I Die Young,” which started a string of eight top ten singles, including four number ones. They continued to chart a few more singles after this, but by 2017, they completely dropped off the charts.

They then began trying every possible thing to keep the band going. They tried pop music, EDM music, and they even tried changing their image by bleaching their hair. All of these attempts eventually failed.In 2023, the band decided to call it quits to focus on solo projects. Just a few months later, Kimberly began a solo country music career by releasing “If I Die Young Pt. 2,” which was written about the same girl the original song was about and how she is thankful she didn’t die young.Kimberly began touring as a solo act and released a solo album, but it didn’t work because Kimberly Perry wasn’t a household name like The Band Perry was years prior.The Band Perry is now back together as a country music band; however, the members are slightly different.Kimberly and Reid remain in the group, but Neil has left and has been replaced by Kimberly’s husband, Johnny Costello. There is no word of why Neil is no longer with the band.I’m excited to see what’s next for The Band Perry. After this long of a break from country music, I don’t know if they will have any more hits, but I’m sure their fans will be happy to have the chance to see them out on the road again.Thanks for reading.
