Welcome back to Country Music 4 Ever! Today I am going to review Kane Brown’s new album “Different Man” which came out Friday. In my opinion, Kane doesn’t have any bad songs, and he proves that on this album. There are 17 songs on this album, some of which are probably familiar to you such as “Like I Love Country Music,” “One Mississippi,” and “Grand.” But today I want to talk about some of the other songs on this album.
The first song I want to talk about is “Thank God” which is a duet with his wife Katelyn Brown. In this song they are thanking God for giving them each other. In the chorus of the song they sing “So, thank God I get to wake up by your side, and thank God your hand fits perfectly in mine, and thank God you loved me when you didn’t have to, but you did and you do and He knew, thank God for giving me you.” I think this song is very well written and it has a really good sound.
The next song I want to talk about is “Leave You Alone.” This song is about him loving his wife forever no matter what, and nothing can change that. I know there are many songs with the same storyline, but this one is one of my favorites.
The next song I want to talk about is “Losing You.” In this song he sings about not being afraid of too many things. The only thing he is really afraid of is losing his wife. In the chorus he sings “When it comes to losing you I don’t know what I would do. I don’t ever think I’d make it through by myself or anyone else. I ain’t afraid to make mistakes. Ain’t afraid to change my ways. Ain’t afraid to look you in the eyes and tell the truth. I’m just scared of losing you.” I think this is one of the best songs on the album.
The last song I want to talk about is “Pop’s Last Name.” This song talks about his stepdad raising him since his dad was in jail. In this song he talks about lessons his stepdad taught him, and how he became the man he is today because of his stepdad. I think this is the most personal song on the album.
Another song you should check out on this album is “Whiskey Sour” which is one of the best songs Kane has ever recorded.
Thanks for reading. I’ll be back soon!
