Today I am going to talk about one of my favorite country singers that I have never talked about on this blog before. The person I am going to talk about is Tenille Townes. I’m sure most of you are familiar with her, but for those of you who aren’t familiar with her I’ll take a minute to tell you a little bit about her.

Tenille is originally from Canada, but she now lives in Nashville. She has had a lot of success in Canada, and I think she will also have a lot of success in America.

I remember the first time I heard Tenille, I was listening to the radio, and they played her song “Somebody’s Daughter.” I remember thinking two things at the time. The first thing was, that song was so different from anything else on the radio, which is why I like it so much. The other thing I was thinking was, I never heard a voice like hers before. She has one of those voices that makes you want to hear more. She makes you feel every emotion in her songs.

Tenille never backs down from singing about things no one else sings about. In “Somebody’s Daughter” she sings about a homeless woman she saw standing by the road. In this song she is wondering how this woman’s life got to that point. And in her song “Jersey on the Wall (I’m just Asking)” she sings about a girl who was killed in a car accident, and her basketball jersey now hangs on the wall in her high school. Like I said, she sings about subjects a lot of other people don’t sing about.

One of my favorite songs of hers is called “When’s it gonna Happen.” In this song she sings about how all of her friends are getting married and finding the love of their lives, and she’s still waiting to find the right guy. In this song she sings “Sometimes it feels like I’m the last one standing.” She has another song that is similar to this one called “Find You.” Please go check out both of these songs if you haven’t already.

Let me know your favorite songs by Tenille. Thanks for reading, I’ll be back soon!
