Welcome back to Country Music 4 Ever! I think we can all agree Patsy Cline is one of the best singers in all of country music and I am going to explain to you today why that is. Patsy only had two number one songs and four other top ten songs. I’m sure you're thinking that’s not too good because people like George Strait have sixty number one songs but the number one’s are not what made Patsy so special. Patsy was special because she had a voice like no other singer in country music. I have heard people do covers of her songs but nobody can sing like Patsy.

Patsy was also someone who did what she wanted and didn’t care what people thought of her. She sang at the Grand Ole Opry many times, and she made history there on two separate occasions. One of the times she sang there she became the first woman to ever wear pants instead of a dress on stage. The other time she made history she was the first singer to request to become a member of the Grand Ole Opry, they accepted her request, and I don’t think anyone else has requested to become a member since then.

If Patsy had not been tragically killed in a plane crash at the age of thirty, I’m sure she would have had more radio success. Like I said earlier, it was not the songs she sang that made her so popular it was her awesome voice that nobody else had or ever will have that made her so popular.
