Welcome back to Country Music 4 Ever! Today I want to talk about one of the best country songs of all time in my opinion. The song is “I Hope You Dance” by Lee Ann Womack and Sons of the Desert. This song is based on a mother expressing her wish for her children to embrace life and take chances.

This is a song that everyone can relate to, whether you’re a mother, father, kid, teenager, or whatever else you might be. This song paints so many pictures in your mind, and I’m sure when you hear this song you see these pictures a little differently than everyone else, which is why this song is for everyone.

“When you get the choice to sit it out or dance, I hope you dance.” I don’t think it could be said any better than that. It’s such a simple line but yet it’s such an important line, because she’s saying sometimes you just need to take a chance in life. Sometimes it seems like people sit it out too often because they’re afraid of what it might be like to dance.

This song came out 22 years ago, which I know for some people doesn’t seem like too long ago, but in my opinion this song is a classic. It went to number one on both the country and adult contemporary charts, which I know there are a lot of other songs that have done this. But I think this song is different, because like I said everyone can relate to this song, so maybe even pop music fans relate to this song and that’s why it went to number one on adult contemporary also.

Let me know what you think. Thanks for reading, I’ll be back soon!
