Welcome back to Country Music 4 Ever! Throughout the first few decades of the Grand Ole Opry, many artists performed on the historic stage who would go on to become iconic country music stars. One of those artists was Patsy Cline.

Patsy performed on the Opry quite a few times. Around the time Patsy performed on the Opry, it was very common for women to wear dresses when they went out to different places, or for some women, when they performed on the Opry. It was sort of an unwritten rule for women at the time. This changed though when Patsy became the first woman to wear pants while performing on the Opry. I'm sure you're thinking this isn't that big of a deal, but it's not the fact that she wore pants at the Opry, it's the fact that she did something to change things for women.

Patsy was never one to go by the rules. She also became the first artist to ask to become an Opry member. No other artist has ever done that in the history of country music. It's just things like this that made her such a trailblazer for other country artists.

Patsy will always be remembered for both her music and for the way she always went against the rules of how things were supposed to be. I really admire her for never being afraid to change things when they needed to be changed.

Thanks for reading. I’ll be back soon!
