Welcome back to Country Music 4 Ever! Yesterday I posted a blog about Lainey Wilson’s performances and award wins on Wednesday night’s “CMA Awards.” Today I am going to recap the rest of the best moments from the “CMA Awards.”

The show opened with Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert, and Reba McEntire performing a very special tribute to Loretta Lynn. They each sang one of Loretta’s biggest hits by themselves and they all sang “Coal Miner’s Daughter” together to end the tribute. I thought this was a very nice way to open the show.

Cody Johnson performed his hit “Til You Can’t.” This performance was true country. I think this year’s “CMA Awards” had more traditional sounding country music than other recent years.

Cole Swindell performed his hit “She Had Me At Heads Carolina.” At the end of his performance Jo Dee Messina joined him on stage to sing her hit “Heads Carolina, Tails California.” This was one of the best moments of the night.

Carly Pearce also paid tribute to Loretta Lynn by performing her song “Dear Miss Loretta.” This was a beautiful performance. I fell in love with this song the first time I heard it, and I think now that Loretta is gone, this song is even more special.

Kelsea Ballerini, Carly Pearce, and Kelly Clarkson performed their collaboration “You’re Drunk, Go Home” together for the first time. This was the girl power part of the show. It was an awesome performance.

Thanks for reading. Let me know what your favorite part of the show was. I’ll be back soon!
