Welcome back to Country Music 4 Ever! In 2010, The Band Perry released their hit single “If I Die Young.” Now, 13 years later, Kimberly Perry has gone solo, and she released “If I Die Young Pt. 2.”

This new version of the song is about how she is glad she didn't die young because now that she's older, she has a new perspective on life. She has grown so much since the release of the original “If I Die Young.” She is now married, and she's pregnant with her first child.

The lyrics of “If I Die Young Pt. 2” are just as good as the original lyrics. I especially like the second verse when she says, “I'm lookin' more like my mother, I love her to the bone. I know it's gonna kill me on the day she goes home. I'll pour some holy water on the daughter of my own. I'll pass my name down 'fore it's on my headstone. It was so dramatic, beautiful but tragic, throwin' my emotions in a poem 'bout a casket.”

I love when people give older songs new life, which is becoming more popular. Cole Swindell recently did it with “She Had Me At Heads Carolina,” and there have been other people who have done it as well.

Thanks for reading. I'll be back soon!
