Welcome back to Country Music 4 Ever! Today I am going to talk about a song by Tenille Townes called “The Last Time.” This song talks about how we always remember the first time we do something, but sometimes the last time comes sooner than we think.

At the beginning of the song, she sings about a mother who drives her son to school every day, but he is 16 and driving now, so she knows it is the last time she will drive him to school. Later in the song, she sings about her grandfather who passed away, and how she wishes she would've had more time with him. The last time she saw him, she didn't expect it to be the last time.

I thought this song would be fitting to talk about today. I'm sure all of you heard about the terrible school shooting in Nashville. Three children and three adults were killed. I know the parents of these children never would've thought yesterday morning would be the last time they saw their children. Please keep these families in your thoughts and prayers. I can't imagine what they must be going through right now.

Thanks for reading. I'll be back soon!
