Welcome back to Country Music 4 Ever! I have talked a lot about the lack of women in country music before because it is an issue. It's something that I don't think is going to change anytime soon, but that doesn't mean we can't still support up-and-coming women even though the radio doesn't.

In 2020, women only made up ten percent of country radio airplay. Even now, women are only played back to back on country radio 0.5 percent of the time. I think it is crazy that women aren't even played back to back one percent of the time. I mean, one percent is not a lot, and to think that women are played back to back less than one percent of the time is just wrong in my opinion.

Back in 2000, women made up 33.3 percent of the year-end country airplay reports, which was pretty good. I just don't understand why there has been such a big change in the amount of airplay women get on country radio in just 23 years, which really isn't that long of a time.

I can't change the fact that women don't get the airplay they deserve, but what I decided to do was make a list of some women who don't get the airplay they deserve. I encourage you to look over this list and go listen to some of these women. Just because the radio doesn't play these artists doesn't mean we can't. So, please go check out some of these women.
