Welcome back to Country Music 4 Ever! On February 17, country music lost a great songwriter, Kyle Jacobs. Kyle died tragically at the age of 49. You might not know him by name, but Kyle has written songs for artists such as Trace Adkins, Jo Dee Messina, Craig Morgan, Tim McGraw, Kellie Pickler (his wife), Clay Walker, Kelly Clarkson, Scotty McCreery, and many others.

Kyle has written many songs with Lee Brice, and over the years they have become very good friends. One of the songs they wrote together is called “Save The Roses,” which is on Lee’s album “Hey World.” In honor of Kyle, Lee is releasing “Save The Roses” as his next radio single.

“Save The Roses” was written from the perspective of a man who passed away. In the song, he is eavesdropping on his funeral. Even though he appreciates all the effort that went into his funeral, he just wants everyone to move on with their lives because life is too precious to be wasted. Now that Kyle is gone, this song takes on a whole new meaning. Kyle is an example that life is short, so we shouldn’t waste any of it.

I love how in this song he basically is telling people to think of him as they continue on with their lives. He doesn’t want people to waste their time at his funeral because he would rather be remembered in other ways. I think this is the best song on the “Hey World” album.

Thanks for reading. Please let me know what you think. I’ll be back soon!
