Welcome back to Country Music 4 Ever! Most country stars bring lesser known up-and-coming artists out on tour with them to help these artists gain exposure. For example, I saw Tim McGraw a little over a week ago, and he had a brand-new artist named Landon Parker out on the road with him for a couple of shows. I never heard of Landon before, but he has a great voice and is a great performer.

The sad thing is, most people just go to see the headliner, and they don’t care about the opener. People don’t really think about the fact that these opening acts could one day be the next Morgan Wallen or Lainey Wilson. At one point, Morgan and Lainey were the opener playing for a quarter to half of the headliner’s crowd.

The way I see it is every artist starts at the bottom, and you never know who will make it to the top. Not everyone’s debut single will go to number one. Most of them won’t even chart, but it doesn’t mean an artist won’t become a star just because they don’t have immediate success, which is why we should support new artists.

Country legends such as George Jones, Dolly Parton, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Hank Williams, Merle Haggard, and Patsy Cline all released debut singles that did not chart, but all of these artists became legends.

Thanks for reading. Please let me know who some of your favorite opening acts are that you have seen in concert. I’ll be back soon!
