Welcome back to Country Music 4 Ever! Lainey Wilson is the first solo female artist to have multiple number one songs in the same year on country radio since 2016. In 2016, Carrie Underwood’s songs “Heartbeat” and “Church Bells” went number one and Kelsea Ballerini’s songs “Dibs” and “Peter Pan” went number one.

Currently, Lainey is also the only female artist in the top ten on the Mediabase country chart. She is at number seven with “Watermelon Moonshine” and she is also at number eight with her collaboration with Jelly Roll “Save Me.”

What’s even worse is that there are only four female artists on the whole chart (including Lainey). Other than Lainey, the other female artists are Kelsea Ballerini with “If You Go Down (I’m Going Down Too)” at number 15, Ashley McBryde with “Light On In The Kitchen” at number 21, and Gabby Barrett with “Glory Days” at number 30.

There are so many new female artists who should get radio airplay, but for whatever reason they don’t. Down below is a list of just some of the new female artists who deserve radio airplay. Please let me know in the comments who you would add to the list.
