Welcome back to Country Music 4 Ever! Today I want to talk about the band “Gone West.” “Gone West” made their debut as a band on the “Grand Ole Opry” stage. They signed to “Triple Tigers” and released their debut and only album “Canyons” in 2020. “Gone West” formed two years prior in 2018. The members of the band were Colbie Caillat, Justin Kawika Young, Nelly Joy, and Jason Reeves. The band got its name from the fact that all four members are from states west of Tennessee, Iowa, Texas, California, and Hawaii. On August 12, 2020, “Gone West” announced they were breaking up after only two months since the release of their debut album.

“What Could’ve Been” was the band’s debut single, and the only single they released that ever charted. It made it to number 27 on the country charts. This song talks about looking back on what could’ve been in a relationship. I wonder if they ever look back on what could’ve been with their band.

I’m sure there was a reason for the band to break up, but it’s a shame it had to happen so soon. I’m sure they didn’t want it to end so soon, but sometimes things happen. Please go check out their song “What Could’ve Been” if you haven’t yet.

Thanks for reading, I’ll be back soon!
