Welcome back to Country Music 4 Ever! My favorite classic country artist is Loretta Lynn, so today I want to talk about my favorite song of hers, “Here I Am Again.”

This song was the title track off her 1972 album. It was written by Shel Silverstein, who was a very popular poet known for writing “Where The Sidewalk Ends” and many other poems.

“Here I Am Again” is such a great song written about a relationship you know is never going to last, but not being able to move on from that person.

There is one line that pretty much sums up the whole song, which is my favorite line in the whole song. She sings, “I know I can’t hang on to you, but worse than that, I can’t let go.” This is such a great line because you can feel the emotion when she sings it. She knows she has to move on from him, but it’s too difficult to let go, so she keeps coming back to him.

There are so many country songs that have one line that basically sums up the whole song and “Here I Am Again” is definitely at the top of the list.

Loretta had so many great songs, and I’d love to hear which ones are your favorites in the comments. Thanks for reading. I’ll be back soon!
