The nominees for the 2022 CMA Awards were announced this morning, so I’m going to talk about them today and tell you who I think will win some of the awards. Before I get started though, I want to recognize the person with the most nominations. That person is Lainey Wilson, who has six nominations. That’s pretty awesome! So now let’s get started.

 

I want to start by talking about the biggest award of the year, which is Entertainer of the Year. The nominees are Luke Combs, Miranda Lambert, Chris Stapleton, Carrie Underwood, and Morgan Wallen. I am going to predict the winner of this award is going to be Morgan Wallen. Morgan’s tour this year has been huge. He has been selling out pretty much every show and based on videos I’ve seen of his tour, he looks like a very good entertainer. So those are the reasons I think he is going to win. I know the other nominees are also selling out shows, but I think this will be Morgan’s year to take home the biggest award.

 

I also want to discuss Female Vocalist of the Year and Male Vocalist of the Year. So I guess ladies first.

 

The nominees for Female Vocalist of the Year are Miranda Lambert, Ashley McBryde, Carly Pearce, Carrie Underwood, and Lainey Wilson. My prediction for this is that Carly will win. I just feel that at this point in their careers, Carrie and Miranda have won this award many times, so I think it’s time for someone else to start winning, which Carly won this award last year, and I believe she can do it again. And I just feel that Ashley and Lainey are still a little too new to win a big award like this. Even though I would love to see Lainey win it, I just don’t see it happening this soon. But I think Carly has a really good chance of winning this award.

 

Lastly I want to talk about the nominees for Male Vocalist of the Year. The nominees are Eric Church, Luke Combs, Cody Johnson, Chris Stapleton, and Morgan Wallen. I am going to predict that Morgan is also going to win this award, because his “Dangerous: The Double Album” has had major success and he has had major radio success. I also wanted to mention that I think Thomas Rhett was completely overlooked, because he would definitely deserve to be nominated for this. Maybe next year he will be.
