Welcome back to Country Music 4 Ever! Cole Swindell released a new song on Friday called “Make Heaven Crowded.”
This song was inspired by the recent assassination of Charlie Kirk. I will not be discussing that today because I don’t talk about politics on my blog. However, I wanted to give you a little background on the song. What I want to focus on is the strong message of faith in this song.
The chorus says, “What if churches had a longer line outside than all them bars on Friday nights? What if people prayed for people who ain’t on their side? What if good ran off the bad? Them streets of gold up there’d be packed. This whole world would look a lot better than we found it if we make Heaven crowded.”
This song asks some big questions. What if churches had longer lines than bars? It would be awesome if people turned to God to help them instead of going to the bar.
My favorite line is “What if people prayed for people who ain’t on their side?” What would happen if we cared for all people and not just the ones with the same opinions we have? There would be far less pain and heartache in the world if we took people for who they are and not criticized them for having different opinions. We are taught to love each other, and we all fail at that.
I know Cole got a lot of hate for being a big part of the bro-country movement, but he has so many heartfelt songs, such as “You Should Be Here,” “Dad’s Old Number,” and “Three Feet Tall.” He has so many top-notch songs that people forget about. This song is no different. I would recommend listening to it if you haven’t already.
Thanks for reading. I’ll be back soon!
