Welcome back to Country Music 4 Ever! Today, I will continue my series of debut singles with "Never Again (Will I Knock on Your Door)" by Hank Williams.

"Never Again (Will I Knock on Your Door)" was written by Hank Williams in 1946 and was released the following year. This song is a great example of Hank's early honky tonk sound that would define his career. The song tells a heartbreaking story of lost love and regrets, which became common themes in Hank's career and his personal life.

The song failed to chart, but it helped him get noticed by people in the music industry. He soon signed a deal with MGM Records and began having massive success with hits such as "Lovesick Blues."

Hank has gone down in history as one of the greatest songwriters in all of country music, even earning the name "Hillbilly Shakespeare" for his very poetic writing style. An example of this is the line, "Never again will I knock on your door. Never again will I play the fool once more." It is such a simple line, but when it is written so poetically, it brings the song to life and makes you feel the pain behind the lyrics.

Hank was always very talented with writing lyrics, which is part of why he was loved by so many people and also why he was one of the greatest of all time.
